In 2019 I hung up my stethoscope for good and walk away from practicing as a doctor (diagnosing, prescribing, and treating). While I loved my one-on-one connection with patients, the stress of practice outweighed the joy that it brought me and it was finally time to make a change.
In the few short years I practiced as an ND, I realized that there are so many people who were missing the 'basics' of a healthy life. Healthy basics, if established when they were younger would have prevented many of the lifestyle and chronic conditions they were experiencing now.
It bread a new mission of helping young adults, professionals, and college students learn how to eat a whole foods diet intuitively, make sleep a priority, move their body in ways that are fun and that don't feel like work, learn to manage stress, and do things daily that bring them joy to build a healthy foundation for life.
Young adults are a joy to work with because they are highly motivated, open to learning, and desire to be successful. They often just need someone to come in help them see things from a different perspective, hold them accountable and think about the long-term benefits of establishing healthy foundations.
