I have been assisting others with their mental health since 1995. My first experience was preventing a classmate from ending her life. This experience inspired me to continue to help people in need. Over the years, I have volunteered with multiple organizations, including the Crisis Text Line, as a mentor and crisis counselor.
Personally, I have experienced mental health difficulties. Using professional guidance, resources, and tools, I have learned to manage them. My experiences have enabled me to empathize with my clients, meet them where they are, and guide them through obstacles to reach their goals.
I have been a registered nurse since 2012 and have experience in various areas including behavioral health and lifestyle medicine. As a Board-Certified Health Coach and a Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach, I partner with my clients to help them manage their mental health and lifestyle diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes. Clients have said I have a calm demeanor and excellent listening skills, which helps to provide a safe space where they feel heard, valued, and understood.
In my free time, I enjoy writing on various health topics, bringing awareness to Asian American mental health, mentoring young adult females, and spending time in nature.
